Oh, this was a good one. We are standing in a short line in the Zellers store in Bayshore, with a young “Matt” ploddingly putting people through the cash register. Matt was clearly not a happy man.
By the time we got to Matt, a coworker appeared, and Matt loudly scolded her in front of all the customers for being late, and that he was 20 minutes past his break time. She did her best to not escalate the situation, but Matt kept on going at her, making everyone uncomfortable. “And you can get your own bags,” he said to her before he stomped off, “I’m really pissed!”
Well, then. That was pleasant. I wonder if Matt will be kept on when Target takes over in the New Year?

I would have done the same thing
and no, they lose their jobs, smartass
I have had Matt often at customer service desk and I have never seen him mad.
That is the first I have ever heard of.
So sometimes, You cannot understand where his temper or impatience is coming from.
I am 60 years old, and I realize that sometimes, the customer service clerks are overworked !!! and that in today’s world, we don t know why some people have bad days. We think they are superhuman and THEY ARE just like me and you. Tired at times and overworked and underpaid ( especially in stores). So, ok, things like this happens, but really, I am sure he probably realized afterwards that he overeacted and felt sorry about the way he acted. I hope he reads this, and realize that he would be a better man, if he apologize to that girl who was late. Even ifs its weeks later after this eruption of temper. Matt, get some help or your career will suffer later in years.!!
That’s Matt for you and he was a cocky guy who often loses his temper and made up stories to make them look bad. He wasn’t over worked in fact he often was found following fellow coworkers when he was suppose to be on cash and whinned when they made him stay on cash. Thank God he didn’t stay very long.
